Our Environment
Please observe quiet and stillness while in the spa. To ensure comfort for all clients smoking and the use of cameras, cell phones, beepers and pagers is prohibited. We ask that you turn all devices to silent mode or off when arriving.
Appointments Policy
To ensure optimum satisfaction for our guests, we recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to your first appointment. This will allow you to become familiar with the facility and prepare for your journey to a higher level of health, peace and beauty. If you are late for your appointment, your service(s) may have to be shortened or rescheduled. We ask that you provide a credit card number when booking your treatments. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Cancellations Policy
When booking an appointment, all clients will be asked to leave a credit card number to reserve their appointment. In the event, a client needs to cancel the appointment, she/he must do so at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled service. Failure to do so will result in an automatic charge of 50% of the cost of the service cancelled. “No-shows” will receive full charge to their credit card for the reserved services.
Any parties of 4 or more will be subject to a $50 non-refundable deposit. All spa parties of 4 or more are subject to a 72 hour change/cancellation policy. Failure to change or cancel any appointments 72 hours prior to arrival will result in an automatic charge of 50% of the services cancelled minus the $50 deposit.
Return Policy
We take great pride in our reputation for quality products. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with a purchase, we will assist you with a prompt exchange, refund or credit. Unopened (sealed) and unused items returned in their original packaging are eligible for a full refund within 10 days of purchase with a receipt. A spa credit only is offered for all open/used items within 10 days of purchase with a receipt. We’re sorry, but we are unable to offer exchanges, refunds or credits after 10 days from purchase or for any items that are damaged through normal use. Gift cards, Series/packages and Account Payments are non-refundable.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift cards or gift certificates must be presented at the time of service. Gift cards are not refundable, replaceable or redeemable for cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced. All Gift Certificate purchases are FINAL. After payment of a service, the remaining dollar amount will be placed back on the gift card.
Prices
All prices are subject to change without notice. The Spa of Essex makes every effort to ensure all prices shown on the website and in print are accurate and up to date.
Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in the service price. If you are satisfied with your service, a 20% gratuity is recommended. An automatic 20% gratuity will be added to all services for parties of 4 or more AND to all packages.
6.35% CT Sales Tax
A 6.35% CT sales tax applies to services (+).
Service Charge
A 5% service charge will be automatically added to all treatments.
Age Restrictions
No one under the age of twelve (12) is allowed in the spa at any time. Those between the ages of twelve (12) and sixteen (16) are allowed for treatments and must be accompanied by an adult to reception.
Visitors
We are unable to accommodate visitors accompanying clients in the treatment area of the spa including those complying with our age restriction policy. All non-clients must remain in the reception area or in the sitting room.
Client’s Right to Know
At The Spa of Essex we strive to exceed our clients needs. We believe that advising our clients of the products best suited for them is as essential as the service we perform. Therefore, our client’s right to know policy advises each client on the products and techniques best suited for the client to maximize the benefits of their service. While we will make every effort to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee a specific therapist or gender. All therapists are trained in both treatment and draping protocols to ensure your comfort at all times.
