DeAnne Mauri / Esthetician & Assistant Director
DeAnne has the distinction of being the very first skin care therapist to join the Spa of Essex. As the Lead Skin Care Therapist and Assistant Director, DeAnne has been able to help the team reach goals and advance in their training. Since joining the industry in 2003, DeAnne has worked for a well known plastic surgeon and has taken numerous continuing education classes on skin care, body treatments and makeup. Specializing in facials and HydraFacials, DeAnne loves to help clients achieve the results they are looking for, while at the same time providing a relaxing and pampering treatment. DeAnne is our product knowledge geek, and has become a trusted source to match the perfect product and facial treatment to the clients’ needs.
Brian S. Gordon / Licensed Massage Therapist
A Graduate of the San Francisco School of Massage in 1977 & Galen Institute of Medical Massage Therapy in September 1999. Brian has been with The Spa of Essex since 2006. He is a member of the CT AMTA Sports Massage and Emergency Response Team. Brian has extensive experience in several Spa, Therapeutic and Sports modalities. His areas of focus are Sciatic, Neck and Headache discomfort. Brian uses a firm to deep touch to achieve desired results.
Nicole Crochetiere / Licensed Massage Therapist
Nicole is a graduate of CCMT and has a foundational belief that movement is life. She combines intuition and technical skill to provide a touch that allows guests to release and let go. She is able to provide her clients with a therapeutic touch, getting into the muscles as needed, but also giving the client a deep sense of relaxation at the same time.
She believes each body has the innate capability to heal itself, using an intuitive approach to create the ideal environment for your body to unwind on its own. With compassion and careful listening she works to make each session on her table meaningful for your life that day, guiding your body toward peace, balance and relaxation.
Charles Demorest / Licensed Massage Therapist
Charles is a 1999 graduate of CCMT, the New York program. Weighted heavily in meridian theory and application, Charles integrates acupressure into most treatments. Over the years he has had grown to incorporate reflexology, myo-facial release, rotator cuff release, aromatherapy and tailors his treatments to the needs of each client. He looks forward to meeting and working with you.
Elizabeth Roberto/ Licensed Massage Therapist
Elizabeth Roberto is a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University; with a Bachelors in Sports and Leisure Management. She continued her education by attending the Center for Massage Therapy to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Liz is very passionate about her work, and finds that giving massage is almost as relaxing as receiving it! Using different pressures and techniques, Liz, is able to customize her massage to meet each individual’s needs. Through thoughtful communication, and carefully listening to the body, Liz helps clients find their balance again.
Elaine Burr/ Licensed Massage Therapist
Elaine is a graduate of Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She is passionate about people’s individual needs and energy. Elaine utilizes a mixture of modalities such a Trigger point therapy, Myofascial release, Stretching and Energy. She believes that everyone has a different frequency that should be listened to, and which should guide, client and therapist on the journey throughout the healing process. Elaine specializes in helping people with chronic pain and/or illness, neck and shoulder pain, headaches/migraines, while providing a relaxing and therapeutic environment.
Maura Graml/Skin Care Therapist
Maura is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Biology. After her career in pharmaceuticals, she decided to pursue her passion for skin care and attended Branford Academy. As a licensed esthetician, her favorite treatments are facials which utilize deep exfoliation and hydration techniques and products to bring out the skin’s natural glow. The most enjoyable part of her work is customizing treatments and seeing the beautiful results on her clients.
Kara Albaine/Licensed Massage Therapist
Kara graduated from the Therapeutic Massage program at SpaTech Institute in Plymouth, MA in 2013. She spent her first six years as an LMT building a clientele in MA, but upon relocation to CT she is excited to bring her skills and passion of Massage Therapy to The Spa of Essex.
She believes in the profound importance and impact that therapeutic human touch will achieve to bring healing to the body and soul. She works very hard to massage in an individualized way based on the client’s specific needs. Helping people achieve relief from discomfort and stress brings joy to her heart.
