DeAnne has the distinction of being the very first skin care therapist to join the Spa of Essex. As the Lead Skin Care Therapist and Assistant Director, DeAnne has been able to help the team reach goals and advance in their training. Since joining the industry in 2003, DeAnne has worked for a well known plastic surgeon and has taken numerous continuing education classes on skin care, body treatments and makeup. Specializing in facials and HydraFacials, DeAnne loves to help clients achieve the results they are looking for, while at the same time providing a relaxing and pampering treatment. DeAnne is our product knowledge geek, and has become a trusted source to match the perfect product and facial treatment to the clients’ needs.
Rhea Bannister / Licensed Massage Therapist
Rhea Bannister has always been interested in physiology and how the body operates…her passion led her to a second career in Massage Therapy. She enjoys connecting with clients who utilize massage for stress reduction as well as functional purposes. Whether it’s through compression, soft glide, or the comfort of a sustained stretch, she utilizes a fusion of Western and Eastern mindful practices. Rhea enjoys working with athletes in need of body stretching and those with strenuous and physically demanding careers.
Rhea’s mission is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness. A firm believer in the inseparable connection between body/mind, she is a proponent of massage for relieving physical as well as emotional stress, and strongly believes in massage as a viable modality for enhancing overall health and well-being.
Brian S. Gordon / Licensed Massage Therapist
A Graduate of the San Francisco School of Massage in 1977 & Galen Institute of Medical Massage Therapy in September 1999. Brian has been with The Spa of Essex since 2006. He is a member of the CT AMTA Sports Massage and Emergency Response Team. Brian has extensive experience in several Spa, Therapeutic and Sports modalities. His areas of focus are Sciatic, Neck and Headache discomfort. Brian uses a firm to deep touch to achieve desired results.
Deborah Palladino / Licensed Massage Therapist
Deborah Palladino has been a Massage Therapist for several years. She has a degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance and earned her Clinical Massage Therapy CEUs in Chronic Headache Maintenance and Relief. Deb also worked in Physical Therapy as a PT Aide for over 3 years. This background enables her to provide relief from and help to heal injuries with massage therapy. Other therapeutic styles that Deb integrates into her practice include Myofacial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure and Massage Cupping. Deb believes that massage and bodywork offers a nurturing touch, authentic presence and intention to engage the whole person into deeper levels of relaxation.
Cait Meeks / Licensed Massage Therapist
Cait Meeks is a graduate of the University of Vermont and earned her Massage Licence from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.
She is passionate about the positive effects of massage therapy on the body and mind. She provides a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage that invigorates fatigued and sore muscles. She can also work with you on injury rehabilitation, assist in the relief of migraines and tension-related headaches or help you forget about life stresses for an hour with a relaxation focused treatment.
Cait is a student of herbal and nutritional medicine and enjoys integrating aromatherapy into her client’s therapy.
Nicole Crochetiere / Licensed Massage Therapist
Nicole is a graduate of CCMT and has a foundational belief that movement is life. She combines intuition and technical skill to provide a touch that allows guests to release and let go. She is able to provide her clients with a therapeutic touch, getting into the muscles as needed, but also giving the client a deep sense of relaxation at the same time.
She believes each body has the innate capability to heal itself, using an intuitive approach to create the ideal environment for your body to unwind on its own. With compassion and careful listening she works to make each session on her table meaningful for your life that day, guiding your body toward peace, balance and relaxation.
Charles Demorest / Licensed Massage Therapist
Charles is a 1999 graduate of CCMT, the New York program. Weighted heavily in meridian theory and application, Charles integrates acupressure into most treatments. Over the years he has had grown to incorporate reflexology, myo-facial release, rotator cuff release, aromatherapy and tailors his treatments to the needs of each client. He looks forward to meeting and working with you.
Meghan Frucce | Esthetician
Meghan Frucce is a graduate of Branford Academy of Hair and Cosmetology where she received her certification in Esthetics. Meghan has always has a passion for skin care and loves seeing results on her clients’ skin. She enjoys working with her clients towards long term solutions for their skincare concerns. “I love what I do, and want my clients to have the best experience they can.”
Sue J. Cohen | Licensed Massage Therapist
Sue J. Cohen, LMT, is a Nationally Certified, Connecticut Licensed Massage Therapist. Sue received her massage training at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, graduating in 2003, where she was awarded with three certificates of excellence.
Sue has expanded her massage education by becoming certificated in specific modalities such as Reflexology and CORE Myofacial Bodywork. She has also completed workshops in Thai Massage, Reiki I and II, Human Cadaver Dissection, and others. Sue was in Beijing, China in 2006 for an introductory program in basic Tunia, Chinese Medical Massage. She has had classes in the Feldenkrais Method movement theory, NeuroMuscular Reprogramming, and continues to further her education in various modalities.
Sue has been involved with the massage community through volunteering her massage services at various sporting events including the Closer to Free Ride, The Angel Ride, Hartford Marathon, and Race for the Cure. She has also done post event massage for the French Rugby Team, New Haven, CT (US/Canadian Tour).
Sue is an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
